The Gary Police Traffic Division will conduct a city-wide motor vehicle enforcement sweep. Officers will be seeking vehicles both mobile and stationary that are in violation of state law or city ordinance. This will be a zero tolerance sweep, and violators will be issued tickets and face towing where applicable. Vehicle owners that are cited only will have until the issued court date to appear in court or pay the fine. Failure to do so will result in the vehicle being towed and being held until all fines and tow fees are paid.
