The U.S. Conference of Mayors and the Corporation for National and Community Service announced the first ever Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service. Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson will salute local AmeriCorps and Senior Corps volunteers. Honorees represent several agencies including, Sojourner Truth House, Catholic Charities, and the Arc of NWI.
