On Wednesday, April 10 at 10:00a.m., Representatives from the federal government’s General Services Administration, Ann Kalayil, Regional Administrator of the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Great Lakes Region, along with Dr. Sharon Johnson-Shirley, Superintendent of the Lake Ridge Schools; and Cassandra Cruz, Grissom Elementary School Principal will join Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson for a laptop donation press conference at Grissom Elementary School, 7201 W. 25th Avenue.
The General Services Administration donated 52 laptops to Grissom Elementary School through its Computers for Learning Program. The laptops have now been programmed and will be distributed to students. Kalayil will be on hand to make the official presentation of the laptops and share information about GSA’s Computers for Learning Program.
